Competitors of the Chris D. Horton Legacy Sniper Competition 2024 shoot targets that are about 315 yards away from a stationary vehicle.
In the intense Squirters stage, teams are put to the test with moving targets that simulate high-pressure scenarios. Each team begins in front of a van, where they have just 30 seconds to get into position before the action starts.
At the 30-second mark, a target begins moving across the field, about 315 yards away in the wood line. Competitors will face five exposures of the target moving across their line of sight. Each team member—both sniper and spotter—has five rounds to hit the target during these exposures, making every second and every shot count.
The Squirters stage challenges participants to maintain focus, synchronize with their partner, and adapt quickly to a moving target under time pressure, simulating real-world scenarios that demand fast decision-making.
