Commercial Ranges: Public Range Using the Dynamic Range X1

Customer Success Story: Enhancing a Public Range with the Dynamic Range X1

One of our customers in Texas has creatively utilized the Dynamic Range X1 to enhance their small public range and gun shop. They needed a cost-effective solution to keep lanes active, encouraging more ammo purchases and gun trials. With a semi-indoor range setup, where the firing line is indoors and targets are outdoors, they used the original Dynamic Range X1 to create a 20-meter target retrieval system.

Key Modifications and Setup

Kevlar Line and Lashing Winch:

  • Instead of the included paracord, they opted for a Kevlar line paired with a lashing winch for a more permanent and sturdy setup. We also suggested they use 1/8-inch steel cable for even greater durability.

Custom Wooden Extenders:

  • Before our wooden extenders were available, they crafted their own using plywood strips, which have proven effective when combined with our plastic target sheets.

Simplified Remote Control:

  • To cater to their customers’ needs for simplicity, they requested a custom remote that only controls the target's in and out movement, eliminating the confusion of additional features.

Results and Customer Feedback

The modified setup has been working well, with positive feedback from their customers.

The simplified remote has improved the user experience, allowing shooters to focus on their practice without getting bogged down by complex controls.

This success story showcases how adaptable the Dynamic Range X1 is, even in unique range environments. Whether you’re running a small public range or a mobile training program, the X1 can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
